Cashew Kale Chips
This recipe was on YouTube several years ago as "Blessings Kale Chips" but I can't find the video anymore. The original recipe seemed to created for a very large food dehydrator and designed as a "raw" food. I hope to experiment with is now that I have a convection oven and/or make the chips and the "sauce" separately and drizzle the sauce over the finished chips. They were yummy but were not crispy enough the last time that we tried them. I'd love your feedback on your "trials" of this. Also, please let me know if you find the original video so that I can credit them.
Vein and tear/chop enough kale to fill a colander into chip size pieces
Sauce:
2 Cups Cashews
2 Cups Bell Pepper
5 Tablespoons lime juice
½ teaspoon garlic salt
curry to taste
dash of aminos or soy sauce
Blend the sauce ingredients in the food processor.
Toss the kale and sauce together.
Spread on a cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper or silpat
Bake in a slow oven (150 degrees?) until crisp*.
