Last week of summer CSA pickup

Our 16th and final week of summer CSA pickups today contained 5 lbs of tomatoes, 1 head of lettuce, either 2 delicata or 1 golden delicious winter squash, 1.5 lbs of sweet peppers, 1 lb bag of beans, 1.5 lbs onions, 3 garlic bulbs and cherry tomatoes for all. Choices included eggplant, parsnips, leeks, 1 lb ground cherries, 1.5 lbs of beets, 1 lb shishito peppers, 3 summer squash, 1 lb of broccoli, hot peppers and cilantro cut fresh if you desired. Once again we had a very nice pickup on a cloudy temperate day. I was glad to see that all of our summer CSA members minus 2 will also be joining us for the fall shares. That is a 93% retention rate. We have added a couple more new members to the list and with that we have more members for the fall than we did this summer! Very exciting indeed. I will continue to work as best as I can at our business every day and hope that our fall CSA is as good as our summer one was.
